I have a honda 200x but it is losing compression, it turns over and wants to start but is losing a little bit of compression. can anybody help me out? or let me know what to look at first?

You need to run a compression check on the cylinder if you think its losing compression.

To do this you need to...
1. Take out the spark plug and hook up compression tester (I use a craftsman tester)
2. Push the choke lever down all the way
3. Hold thumb throttle wide open
4. Kick the motor over until the guage stops increasing

You should be around 164 psi +/- 5 psi

If its lower than 155, I would say its new rings time.
