View Full Version : Any Tire recomondations for my 85 Tecate ?

I was just wondering what kind of tires would work well for my 85 Tecate ? I guess once im actually done getting it how i want it I will be taking it out in the woods and gravel pit ... just thought id get some opinions .

My 85 came with 20x10x10 Shredders on it.

For trail riding, I actually thought they hooked too well, if that makes sense. It's a lot of work to wrestle the thing around corners.

Not the best ticket in the sand but nothing more RPMs didn't fix.

I bet I would like the stockers for an all-around good tire. I have some on a parts trike 85 I'm bringing back to life so we'll see.

I have some 22x11x10 8-paddle Haulers (built on stock carcasses) for sand. They are AWESOME!

I have ITP GNCC rears on my built Warrior, I love them! Idk how well they will work on 3 wheelers though. They do like to grip.

I like my razr mx for in the trails in the woods grip well look good

The stock balloons IMO side roll too easy cause they are so round. I think a "flatter" tire would potentially be more stable in cornering. If that makes sense....
