Neutral light problem

Ok guys I just put my 225dx trike back together and put the wiring harness in so I decided to test it and see if I put it together correctly, I hooked up a battery charger to the cables and the neutral light only goes on when I hit the start button. I then put the battery in and still it only goes on when I hit the start button and it cranks over fine. I think it is not a ground problem since I even put a wire on the engine to the negative terminal of the battery and it still did not come on.

It's just plugged into the wrong place, use the wiring diagram in the manual below to find pout where it should go.

Does it keep running and drive without shutting off?

I will look into the wiring and see, also i did have it running today and it does shut off when I hit the kill switch if that was what you were wondering.
