Will the electrical system support me running 100w accessory with the headlight off? What about with the light on?

The headlight is only 40w right?

You didnt say what year but i think they are all the same, i just grabbed a spare bulb i have and thats a 45w bulb...

45w / 12v = 3.75 amps

100w / 12v = 8.33 amps

So the short story here is... NO..

The manual doesn't seem to show the wattage output of the alternator but i doubt its that much, most of them are around 4-5 amps tops.

Are you thinking a large offroad light or?

I wish it was a 100w light, it's something way more childish than that!

Depending on what it is, just mount a battery and run it total loss. Charge between rides.

Right. that's what I was thinking. Can the battery be charged by the ATC?

Isn't the 110 ATC 6 volt?

100w light would be 16.67 amps.
Also can't charge a 12v battery with 6v stator.

I was thinking more along the lines of ride it until the battery dies - plug it in and re-charge the batteyr at home/camp
