Why hasn't Honda made a new 2-stroke quad, they should either make a new one or bring back the trx250r. :x

2 strokes are on their way out. manufactureres are building new high tech midbore 4 strokes that have really quick revving capabilities like 2 strokes, the CRF 450R and YZF 450 for example. Expect to see a 250R based quad with the CRF 450R in it. Honda would be stupid not to build this quad. Don't be fooled by it's 4 strokeness, it rolls of the floor with 55hp! Rumor has it that Yamaha is coming out with one that has the YZF in it. Yamaha has their bases covered that's for sure. Aren't two strokes getting discontinued in '06 or something? If that's the case I am saving up for my 2006 Banshee.

Once Honda puts that 450 engine in a quad frame you can bet it will only make around 35hp. They always detune them. It sucks. If they were smart they would come back with the 250R :-P

2 strokes are dead, face it. The reason the engine is "detuned" is due to the additional fatness of a quad...almost 200lbs extra there.

They would also swap cams and such to make the engine more lowend oriented. As it stands now, the 450 is tuned to run like a high revving pinger.

That doesn't even make sence. Why would you deture if you need more power? It's just because there still scared from 88.
