1983 honda 200e no spark?

title says it all i dont know what it could possibly be but when i put the sparkplug on the engine and pull start it there is not spark. maybe a weak connection? there is also paint on the engine from when they painted it black... and maybe the spark plugs are old but i do know when i put them in my running 200e it starts up... so i dont know what the issue could be.

Hello there Slayer, i also have a 200e, i would first check all connections and fuses as it is a very old machine, then i would test your CDI box you say have a running 200e try swapping out there CDI boxes with each other, if that doesn't work test the stators, then coils, and so on down the list.

Also iv been told to either put your cdi box in the fridge or hit it with a hammer wile plugged in to try and get it working again but that's if you know its not working, i would not try this on a good cdi.
