I am doing a rebuild on it and i noticed that the oil pump chain was broke. so i take off the right crank case cover. The sprocket cover was missing out of it. Now i looked up on Honda Parts House what the real name is. It is called "Oil Seperator" I tried ordering one but it is on a nation wide back order. My question is, Will it hurt the engine if it run the bike without it?

Here is the diagram: http://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/506baeb7f870023420a2167a/oil-pump
#14 is the part.

Please get back ASAP.
Thanks Guys!

I have the 84 200x. Models, they have gears for the oil pump, I looked at the pic of yours, not sure, but the part is there for a reason, I would not run it with out, that might be why the chain broke,, go to e bay find a bottom half of the motor, (1986 Honda ATC 200x motor)

Hello

Try the site below, they show they have one, but who knows.

Try discounthondaparts.com. I order all my Honda stuff from them, and they have never told me they don't have something. Worth a shot. I can't get the parts fiche to pull up so I can see that part you need. Is it something that can be fabricated?

I looked at the service manual, available on my server if you click the link in my signature area below, and its called a sprocket cover in the service manual. The best i can tell is its there solely to protect the sprocket, it would also probably catch the chain when it broke but thats besides the point.

I doubt thats why the chain broke, and the last person in there probably just forgot to put it back on. I don't see any reason it would hurt to run without it, but i would suggest you get it replaced. Someone has to have one used! I would post up in the classified.

I have a 84 200x sprocket cover to sell if it swaps out and you want it.

Edit: Took looking at the picture to realize it is chipped. I'm just going to toss it in the scrap bin.
