Hi, I registered with this site what feels like years ago but couldnt understand how to post etc so kept trying every now and again then gave up
I am located in Scotland and wanted a 200x for most of my life and eventually got one about 11 months ago, happy days!
Due to our weather and other factors whilst stripping mines for powdercoat, badly corroded area's were found on the frame.
Here's what it looked like when I brought it home:
173811
The more I thought about it, even if I replaced the section of the frame with the holes, blasted the rest and powdercoated it, I would never be happy. With that in mind I bought a replacement from the states and got it coated:
173812
From the point that I collected the finished frame, things started to get very expensive as my standards for the build started to go up :p
I went on to start powdercoating the rest of the bits:
173813
The fuel tank had crazy blisters on it and the 1st guy I spoke to refused to paint it unless I got it blasted.....which i did and lets just say it was porus.
I troll'd Ebay for ages and found a awesome replacement which I got sprayed but I think I'm going to get done again due to standards lol.
Anyone who has ever went over the top when all they wanted to do was cover the basics know's that its because you dont want to fit old tarted up stuff onto your new bits so I just bought new Instead on stressing myself out:

I'll have to go out soon to take pics of some of the stuff thats still in boxes
Last week I received a couple of bits I ordered:
173820
Originally I only wanted a Durablue +4 axle.
I searched for a axle on Ebay for ages with no luck and eventually ended up getting one from JL-Atv.
A few days prior to that, the +2 heavy duty Westcoast swing arm appeared on Ebay and couldnt resist.
I still require a 1982 250r rear sprocket which is required to fit this axle to the 200x.
I started to throw it together to get some motivation. It's frustrating as I'm building it at my house and all my tools etc are at work so even simple things like not having a tube of grease can stop the axle going into the swinger and not being able to swap over the new swing arm.
I started a new job a few weeks ago at a company that restores classic cars so the possibilties are endless! I have taken advantage of a mounted machine polisher which I used to do various bits like the Westcoast shock linkage.

When I stared to assemble I realised the fresh tank and new plastic would get all chaffed as there was a mix and match of gromets, rubbers etc so ordered a load of genuine Honda stuff which made everything fit perfect.
Every bearing was replaced so that when it was finished I wouldnt have any issue's.
P/s, how many members do you guys have with 200x's in Scotland?
