It's been a while since I've been on here. What happened to the classifieds?

There still here. Unfortunatly, I think the issue is that your post count is not high enough to access it.

Yeah, you have to have 10 posts AND be a member for at least 2 months before you can access other areas. Whacked, but ya gotta roll with it.

I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up.

Do they have to be new posts? Or does this count as 3 so far in here??

I've been a member for a while.

The two months is a killer. I wish there was an over ride on it.

Yeah, me too.

That's why there's a new member discussion post area for the time up until you have been a member for two months. The rule is there cause of spammers. Putting a two month wait dramatically lowers spam posts

Yes, but I have helped run a forum before - my job was filtering out the spammers from the real members - so I've been there. Two months feels excessive, that's all. Especially in today's world of microscopic attention spans. :-)

Very glad to have this area, of course. Good people here have already helped me, and I've tried to return the favor.

I'll probably sell or trade my trike (1984 Yamaha YTM-225DX Shaft "Special" black & gold) and wish I could get it advertised here before hunting season, but don't know if I'll be able to with the 2-month thing.

I agree completely with the post above. Two weeks or two months, they both would filter the same amount of spam. Two months however is likely to cost new members. The only reason I stuck around is because someone from here called me and told me it was worth it.

Like I said above there is a section for new members where you can get whatever you need to know someone will post within thirty minutes I bet. As for the two month rule everyone here had to do it also

Will there be a problem if someone with less than 2 months posts something for sale in the new member section?

I have been lurking for quite a while myself. Finally joined a bit ago. May as well get the ten posts out of the way as well. Some day I may want to post in one of the other forums too. There is some great information on this site. Hopefully I can add to the discussion some day.

Yeah I've been here for about a month but I'm a constant poster so my count is not a prob. I figure the time frame is just a technicality. Glad there is the new member area....it's helped a ton!
