I recently aquired a tecate and upon bringing it home it ran flawless but I noticed oil leaking from behind the drive sprocket
So I was riding home and the idle screw came out complety to never be seen again....I took my carb to a guy to get another idle screw....put the carb back on and now it will crank and idle but soon as any throttle is applied it dies.....and thoughts on the cause?

If it is the original carb the adjustment screw only affects the slide height and would have nothing to do with how it runs. Make sure your jets are nice and clean. I have had the same issue with a bad stator, you may want to check that also.

Well I don't know tecates but behind the counter sprocket (drive sprocket) there should be a seal, mine just went out on my 200x.. it was a 3 dollar seal and took 5min to replace.
