the forks on my 200x do not move up and down when I jump on it. when I do wheelies they go in and puck nasty oil out all over me when the front tire hits the ground and im tired of it lol. the forks on my parts bike move up and down a little when I jump on it but not freely. took the forks of the parts bike and I can push them in freely now and they spring back up now that they are off. they look strait :wondering but have pitting on the tubes. the forks that are on the bike now look strait and have no pitting. I don't think they are strait I have been doing lots off wheelies and the front tire hits the ground hard. hope I can take the too sets of forks and make one good set. what is a redneck way I can see if the tubes are bent? was thinking of rolling them on something flat or using a feeler gage. also any tips on what to look for when I take them apart? I read the stuff in the manual but some real experience would be good

Easy to tell if something's bent... you can put maybe half of it on a flat table and let half or so hang off... roll it on the table and watch the end that's not on the table. If it's bent you'll see it wobble up and down.

Hold the alum part of the lower tube tight and spin the chrome tube with your other hand to see if its straight .

I spun the tube in the alum don't look bent ill roll them on a table when I get them apart to double check thanks. Any good way to fix the nicks/pitting? Why didn't the forks move up and down on the trike but now that they are of they seem to work good by hand?

Don't bother using the pitted tubes if the rust/pits are in the travel area that slides past the seal - the pits just rip up the seal. If the pitting is up by the triples, smooth it out as best as you can before putting the new seals in. The pits will likely tear up the new seals, though.

I bet all 4 tubes are bent. 200X forks are soft like noodles. To check, remove the caliper, brake line, front wheel and axle, then loosen up the triple clamps enough to spin the upper tube, then spin the upper and watch the bottom of the fork. If it moves around, the forks are bent.

I took the springs out of the tubes and measured them the small one is 3 1/2" and the long one is 17 5/8" manual says the long one should be15.4in and short one should be5.4in manual says replace if springs are shorter. what if there longer like in my case? what is the deal with these springs ??

well I don't think this is fixable very easy the place where the bushing sets is all rusted up bad can I just sand them? the tubes came out but the seals, bushings, backup ring stayed in the sliders how do I get them out now? chisel ?http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x256/hilary_2013/image-25.jpg (http://s182.photobucket.com/user/hilary_2013/media/image-25.jpg.html)http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x256/hilary_2013/image-24.jpg (http://s182.photobucket.com/user/hilary_2013/media/image-24.jpg.html)
