I bought this the other day because I had never seen another before. Its a 1974 Honda xl350 frame, tank, forks, bars and headlight, It has 3 wheeler rear end and what looks like a conversion kit for the triple tree and the seat/fairing. I believe you could get these as a kit to change over your bike to a 3 wheeler. I am only guessing, Any information as to if this was a kit you could order or is it just a custom, I paid 600.00 and the kick start doesn't work.

You paid $600 for that? Was listed for $400 obo the other day. Prior to that it was listed for $250 if I recall correctly(was somewhere in the $100-250 range I remember that much). It was offered to me for $150 a few months back. Thing has been changing hands like crazy....

ihave one i would have jumped on that for $600 it could be an aftermarket frame witch makes it supper rare ......mine was made by somebody they used the dirt bike frame and 250r front and rear end and 200x fenders
all i can say :w00t:

Tricky Dicks, the same place that did the Cagivas did conversions as well as 1 or 2 other places. They even had the kits for cb750s. The street bike conversions were kind of heavy. There were also places that made custom frames that would fit street bike engines, which were much lighter. Early frames were hardtails, just like the early stock honds. Later frames had suspension. Hardtails in the desert weren't all that bad with hardtails and soft sand tires. I've got an aftermarket frame that fits a Yamaha r5, rd350 or rd400. There were even aftermarket frames that fit the h2750 kawi 3 cylinder, 2 stroke engine. Crazy stuff.

dude that is totally sweet. $600 is 2 rich for my blood though just sayin i built my auto-x for a whopping 425 bucks including gas n oil 4 the first ride, but that bike is sooo cool. I wonder if you can make it street legal if you put on dot tires and file for lost title 4 a street bike.

They appear to be a atc 90 set of fenders. The conversion I have seen had fiberglass fenders painted up all nice.

i did get the kick start fixed, someone put the gears in wrong kicks over smooth, check for spark and compression tomorrow. I will take more pictures then. I beleive it could be a tricky dicks customs or a kit from a similar company. 174741

there is a member trickydick2 I would like to have him contact me. I have tried but have not been a member long enough. I am curious if he knows more about this three wheeler conversion kit and if it came from his family or somewhere else. Thank you guys for all the positive posts, I have found very little on them, I just ordered a cycle world magazine from ebay that has a article in it telling about these conversion as well as a front end for snow.

the fender is fiberglass, and seems to be painted very well. The paint and even the paint flake matches identically even the pin strip was done well.

Hi Hondabuilder74,

I'm quite certain that isn't a Trick Dick's conversion. Next time I'm up at our shop I'll get some close up pics of the RD conversion that was typical for the early kits. The first kits had a double square steel tube swingarm with a fixed box carrier that housed a ATC 90/110 bearing carrier. The triple clamps would be solid 3/4" aluminum with a squared end and a single outer clamp bolt. They were usually polished. The swingarms on the later kits would use a typical rectangular steel tube swingarm with an adjustable carrier. The carrier for most kits were cut to house an '82 250r durablue axle. The later triple clamps were 1" aluminum with rounded ends and the clamp bolt was on the inside. Like the Cagiva's. I think we actually used those same front and rear fiberglass fenders on some RD conversions though.

I'm not sure who made that kit but I hope this information helps.
