Thanks for the advice, anyone heard anything good about Mikuni carbs? Seems I have some research to do!

do you have any mods done to the engine? are you looking for any more power? i would recomend finding a used carb and rebuilding it. alot of the 200-300cc dirt bikes and quads have a lil bigger carbs that work really well on a jucied 200x. crf 230 carbs are easy swap to keep a good quality carb

I would like to get a bit more power out of the 200x, but I wouldn't have a clue on where to start. I have never really messed around with 3 wheelers much. This is kind of a budget restoration right now. I know I have to get a new axle because it is bent. I need to rebuild the carb, but i thought, might as well spend a few more dollar and buy a new carb instead of a rebuild kit. That was before you guys told me that the cheap new carbs are junk. I am just considering all of my options at this point.

Mikuni was OEM on many of these machines. I agree that rebuilding an existing carb is the best bet. I just had to buy a used carb and rebuild kit for my quad, I chose to buy a used OEM Mikuni and rebuild it. My carb was missing some parts and ad some broken parts.
