Just got a 1984 200s and the previous owner said that it would not fire. It did have a weak, intermittent fire. I did a bit of research and decided to replace the ignition stator, still no fire and just replaced the coil. No fire. I replaced the stator with an ebay purchase, an EMGO 24-37800. I soldiered the wire to the center lug, there also was a "lump" on the left where the OEM stator was soldiered. Should I have soldiered to the left lug?
