Just glanced at pics of the newly redesigned rancher and foreman. Very ugly. Looks liked a boxed Polaris to me. What do you guys think? You can go to dirtwheelsmag.com or honda.com to see the photos

I saw those in the new DW and my first thought was Yamaha. It's also disappointing they aren't updating the sport quads AGAIN for 2014. Some of those models are going on 7 or so years now with no changes besides colors and graphics

Honda and John Deere have GREATLY let me down in the latter years. Those ranchers are ugly to me. But, I must say,,they MAY grow on me in person..

Me to. Picked up an can am renegade 500 for our annual Kentucky ride at turkey bay. Sad part is the wife has put more miles on it than I. Course I put more on the big red and 350x than she does.

I'm a Honda guy, but, damn I wouldn't own any new Honda. I don't like the current utes. Sat on several at the dealer, and that is as far as I want to go. Too damn wide and bulky, and could use some more grunt. First, last, and best Honda ute is, was, and always will be, the trx300fw 4x4. There is a reason why we have 3 in the stable.

And, as far as the sport line up goes, Honda being Honda, will probably shock us with something outstanding. But, yeah, they have been dissapointing. They came out with the 250r tribute edition and didn't even give it gold wheels! I'm sorry but, in my opinion, if you are going to "capture" the essense of the legendary R with a throw back graphics, give the SOB gold rims like back in the day!

The only new Honda I would own is a 400X (400EX), I like the current plastic more than any previous design. The 700xx is gone but I don't care for IRS or EFI anyway. And the 450R, well those need rebuilt every 30 days vs every 30 years like the 400. lol. All my friend jumped on the 450 band wagon when they came out (bought them new) and every one of them needed a crank. Along with a bunch of CRF450s as well. That problem was supposed to be fixed in 05, then supposed to be fixed in 06. My brother and a 07 with a bad crank which trashed the whole engine. I think the Honda 450 is the worst engine in the history of all engines. lol. Rips total balls for about 10 minutes then blows up. lol.
And all their big bikes are 450 based now, no thanks. I'll stick to my XR650R and I just picked up a Polaris Outlaw 525s yesterday with the solid rear axle and KTM engine. As fast as (or faster) than a 450 and more longevity as well.

Stopped in at a local honda dealer last week and checked these out for myself. Yikes they are even more ugly in person.

The 400 EX was still faster, buddy of mine had both, for whatever reason, the 400 would pull away. Its sad really...

At least I have a couple nice '85 250r's in my garage right now. I could care less what the 2014 Hondas look like!!
