Well here it is. Kind of an impuse buy. lol. Plan was buy this then sell my 400ex. I miss the power of my 450R but I don't miss its longevity. It locked up twice after I sold it. It was rebuilt by Honda under the extended warranty I purchased both times.
I only paid $2000 for this thing and it has about $1000 in aftermarket parts on it, got the title too. You can see most of the upgrades, it has Yoshimura exhaust, heel guards, nerf bars, PRM grab bar, aftermarket handle bars, bars and a Rath steering stem. It does have some cracks in the fenders though. I can't complain too much for the price though, most of them I see are $3000 - $4000. I figure my 400ex should be worth $1500 so thats not much difference if I sell it. This has the solid rear axle (I dont care for independent) and the 525 KTM engine with reverse. Power is great. I also lowered the shocks a bunch since I took the picture, much better. It has a hydraulic clutch which pulls easy and everyone raves about, but I think it could be a source of problems. Other than that nice bike. I still wonder if I maybe should have went with a YFZ450 though. I think this bike is a bit faster though and I think the engine is more durable but its the rest of the bike that concerns me. lol. I don't know a whole lot about these things but I'm sure they aren't as reliable as a 400ex, is anything? lol. Anyone know anything about them?
