Hello - newbie here. Have both above subject units. Honda 185S is running fine; sat in barn ~15 years. Honda 110 has
'what I think' are ignition problems. I am an idiot, so let's get that outta way! Have completely cleaned out gas tank; fuel lines; filter in carburetor inlet; fully cleaned carburetor. Unit will sometimes start w/one pull; sometimes 90 pulls. Have changed spark plug; plug 'cover'; ignition wire back to coil; had coil tested by local shop - they say it is OK. Checked voltage 'input' into coil w/voltmeter - seems to have some power. Am being told 24 things by 13 people (some
contradict themselves -- Ha Ha). QUESTION: are CDI and coil same in BOTH units? If 'yes', I believe I will switch those
from 185S to 110 (one at a time) to determine if either/both (on 110) are bad. Beyond this, I don't know where to go.
BTW; if/when I get the 110 running (random starting), it runs perfectly and have driven it ~5 miles. However, It seldom re-starts -- whether HOT or COLD. (possibly, I am 'flooding' engine; but uncertain). Any help wud be appreciated. THX !!
