doesn't mention price in ad, but he's asking 1000.00 (I texted him). Does that seem high or is this what clean 86/87 125 models are going for?

That doesn't look bad. With paperwork and being a 1986 he will sell it. I know it's not perfect but see if he will take $900 in person and load it up. An 87 in that shape may bring more. Good luck.

It looks great, can't deny that. But all original except the tires? I don't think that hitch on the back is a hondaline option. What's that bar on the engine though? I think it's the 3rd picture.

That bar is the kickstand...

That is realy nice. One like that around me would be priced at $1500.That bar looks to be welded to the shifter for shifting by hand.

Good eye! I thought the bar was just resting on the ground until I took a closer look at the second picture.

Looks like the tank has some good ole JB repair on the bottom corners, something has been done to it for sure. I suspect it rotted out.

That trike, though a bit rare for me to see the second gen 125's, would be a good buy for me around $500 maybe $600. I suspect you would put a couple hundred or more into it. Replacing the shifter to get rid of that oddly made suicide shifter, and repairing or replacing the tank. And whatever else might be original and worn out... LOL

Overall though, i would buy it if the price was right.

The trunk latch is correct but the tail light is tweaked and its missing the tool box. I have been looking for a bike in that shape to use as a parts bike for my 87. They dont pop up that often but i have found a couple for under 500 in the same condition just to far away.

In my area also the price is ok for the shape it looks to be in. I would get rid of the shift bar and tail hitch right off the bat. Good call on the tank though. That could be hard to find a nice one to replace it.
