View Full Version : regearing a 1985 honda 200x need help i want a 38 tooth rear sprocket

i have a 85 200x with stock 40t rear sprocket i want to get a 38 tooth but i cant find one for a 85 they have them for 86-87 on ebay but i dont know if it has the same bolt holes for as the 85

you have to use aluminum. 83-85 is most popular for stock gearing.

most peopl will use a 35T or a 40T. you can switch from 12T front 13T or 14T.

1 tooth up or down up front is the same as 3 teeth up or down in the back.

i think that a 250r sprocket is the same bolt pattern.. the trx uses a 38t rear.. i cud be wrong, but im almost positive theyre the same bolt pattern..
