I brought it home! It needs a little work to get everything working correctly. I plan on taking it to a guy I know.

Nice X!!! I have an '85 200x as well and it is one tough machine...and pretty quick too (mine is bored .80 over, dg exhaust with carb rejetting, new clutch). I've had it for years, consistently beat the living snot out of it, and it has never let me down (it's even outrun the fuzz a few times lol). These things are becoming harder to find in decent condition, so get it right and hang onto it...you'll have a blast and turn quite a few heads doing it...

Hopefully I can get it fixed up soon. It looks nicer than it really is.

It's got good bones..

Find someone that does powdercoating and take that tank in..you won't regret it!!

I hadn't thought of powder coating the tank. Sounds like a good idea. Any idea how much it costs?

I've just recently powder coated 2 tanks in the last 2 projects. I'm from brantford ON.

There is a guy in caladonia at metal works powder coating that does a great job at it and very good at sand blasting. Only charged me 60 a tank. That's start to finish. And he makes sure you like it before you leave.

Nice 200x I just recently picked up one myself this week. The previous own had a gio 250 motor in it. Needless to say it's coming out.

60 seems pretty resonable. I live in Iowa. It's hard to find anything around here.
