I own and currently ride a 86 250sx and im thinking about upgrading the suspension from a 200x. What are some pros and cons and do any of the years bolt right up? The 250 has a ton of torque and I feel I like the heavier front end; although, I ride it more sporty so would like the better disc braking. im pretty torn and I need a winter project. any thoughts?

I don't have much experience with forums so i apologize for sounding newbish. I like the front tire/wheel swap but really want the front disc. Thank you for the help. Im going to get some pictures up of my trikes.

I just ordered the bear claw/rim combo. I also upgraded the front brakes with some EBC's. Im totally stoked!

I have heard nothing but great things about this modification, good luck!

I will get some pictures up this week. I grew up with a 185 and 200s and didn't know much about the sx's. I got a awesome deal and a great quality trike. This website has educated me soo much about all the models. My next one will be the 86 200x!

The only downside I see with this modification is that the front end will ride alittle bit higher.

I was just getting ready to install but wanted to know the weight difference, the bearclaw/steel is only 4 lbs. heavier. Im ok with that, I was a bit worried about the increased weight but heck its a sx!

That's an easy fix, slip the forks up through the triples an inch or two.

The height compared to the stock is a half inch less.

I have came across those pictures recently and instantly fell in love! That is a great looking SX. Im digging the white plastic! I didn't go that route because im eventually going to get a 200x to rip around on. The SX will be my tough as nails, kinda heavy trike. With the EBC pads the stopping was greatly improved, but nothing near a disc.

Get in touch with flyingw he has the steering stops.179380 SX with 350x front . 179381 The first photo was when I did it in May and the second is as of now. If I had another SX I would do the exact same to it.
