I grown up riding this trike its a 1982 250r. I was about 15 or 16 and now 35. last time i rode it i was about 25, since then i have bought a 1985 250r. well im getting my old trike running again. the guy i bought it from said it had a 350 kit on it but a friend thinks its a mugen 360 and i think its a hondaline 300 kit. it also has a 34mm mikuni carb I think? I was also wondering what that gold canister was under my tank it has a tube that goes down in between the head and the carb. :Bounce

That to me appears to be a Hondaline 300r Kit. Don't quote me on that though I am new and learning. That gold thing my friend is a boost bottle going to your intake.

its a 300R. mugen cylinder would be bigger, grey, and would have a head stay at the rear of the head

that canister is a boost bottle. their effectiveness on single's is debatable, but its neat!

i think ive seen that carb, intake, and boost bottle advertised as a kit in old mags. your intake will likely say 'DG perf' or H&S. both are rare, and even more rare to be tapped for the bottle. neat that the carb has been tapped for the power jet too

looks like an aftermarket exhaust too. maybe DG?

i spy an aftermarket swinger too

you WILL post more pictures

The intake does have an H&S and the swing arm is extended and has a pk racing sticker on it and is the power jet the tube from the the bottom of the carb bowl that goes up to the top? I'm pretty sure the exhaust is after market but i don't see any stamp of any kind and yes I'll post more pics

ok first...

WOW!

that WFO airbox... holy cow! stupid, stupid rare. lets get more pics of that!

to try and id the pipe: check the motor side of the pipe's front mount. it may be stamped 'DG perf'

those carb boots are available brand new here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mikuni-Rubber-Flange-30-34mm-Carburetor-60mm-Width-Between-Studs-/390676257024?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5af61e9900
you will need to find a boot that is 60mm between the studs and as close to your carb spigot size as you can find. these boots are new and semi flexible so you can shove a 36mm into a 34 boot with some force and patience.

very cool PK swinger! doesnt look very long, might be a +2.

now... slap a set of 18's and a 38T rear on that monster and go bring shame upon some golf carts!

wow, very rare parts you have there. I have heard of the WFO airbox but that is the first one I have seen. The whole motor setup is sick. Hope you decide to do a proper restoration on that bike. Not many left out there with all the goodies like you have. The ol girl needs some love.

It would be cool if you could get DC plastic to reproduce that. Sweet trike cant wait to see it all fixed up.Your headpipe is early DG I have the same headpipe on my 81 250r DG racer.

I gotta be honest here. I would clean up that WFO box and put it on a shelf or as someone else suggested, see if John can repop it. You can already see it cracking on one of the mounts which is likely to get worse if you continue using it. I would either drop an OEM box back in or if you don't ride in really muddy/water conditions, you could just hang a K&N off the back of the carb with an outerwear.
