Here she is so far. Me and a friend have been working on this today. We were wondering if any of you have some advice or opinions on making it better.

Hehe...anyone want to chop up a $6500 machine??? :D

Me and ATC Crazy where playing around with the pic all day ive got bug eyed at looking at it anyone have any changes they want to see the forks where a little to much angle on them but they looked worse with less angle. I think its pretty cool tho. I saw one someone else did one time and it looked really good.

hey, it looks great to me, but it needs more cylinders.

Looks sweet, my only suggestions are changing the fork angle and bringing them up some, the bars look really low.

Maybe add the '86 style scoops for the radiatiors, and a bigger diameter front tire.

Now that you mentioned it smurf it could use some radiator shrouds. I'd say either 85-86 R shrouds or off the newer cr's. The front fender needs to come up some too, closer to the triple tree.

that looks a little wierd lol.

well if it's a 450r you might want to add a +6" swing arm...

I would build a custom designed trike and just put the engine in it.

Thanks for the input guys ;)

I think we will bring the forks up, add shrouds, shorten the length of the fender and bring it up some, and add a larger front tire. I liked the looks of the shrouds off the CRF bike that the forks came from.

That engine isn't going to last very long without a radiator .... :D

ATC crazy
12-29-2003, 05:36 PM
:D Funny you should mention...we relocated it to the rear. You can't see it b/c of the muffler... ;)

Good eyes ;)

Alright You guys got me working on one, but it probably won't be done for a while (days, maybe even a week or two) because I'm meticulous as hell. If I show it to you guys though, I can guaruntee it'll be awesome.

bigger front tire, longer swingarm, and maybe make it a 2-stroke

uhh...that 350X or 200X or whatever with that stupidly heavy and slow old chopper motor needs to melted for scrap!

Needs a 250R front fender, then it should clear the frame when you raise it up.

I think ours turned out good considering that Josh only had 1 day experience w/ PS, and I have never used it before.

You also need to make the front forks either leading axle or trailing axle.

Billy Golightly
12-30-2003, 10:20 AM
I did have the front forks on mine leading, but the tire stuck way to much out from the front fender and it just looked kind of stupid so I made it like how all the old vintage bikes are, just straight under the fork tube.

lmfao, '77 750 engines have 60 hp....I think I'd take the CRF over the 200 lb motor!

A person on my forum suggested making a new ATC450R since the TRX is suppose to be out soon, and here's what I whipped up in PhotoShop. Now if we could only get Honda to really make one of these we would be in good shape!

Thanks for sending us that photo of the three-wheeler 450R. It looks very interesting. Would you object to us putting that picture in our magazine?

That is AWESOME!!!!! Makes you wonder how ATC's would look if still produced today.
If you only had 13 grand laying around you could have something very close to that. Be tough to chop two new 450R's(TRX&CRF) in half though.
Great job on the pic, looks like something from a honda add.
Take that pic over to exriders.com and tell them this is coming from Honda next fall since the decree is over. Those little punks will be squirmin'.
If I could just win the powerball the toys I'd have....................

I like the yamie blue. 8) It's cool seeing these pics, but kinda sad in a way since they'll never be real. Just think how great one of those ATC 450r's would be!

I love it and put it on exriders as a real item to rile up some people. Wouldn't it be great?
