The Tri Moto I have does not have rear suspension from the factory and I was wondering if there is an easy way to add it or will need to do something custom? I know some of the models had rear suspension so I was wondering if there was some similarities.

Its going to be a custom job. Cutting away the frame. etc. Is your 200 chain or shaft driven?

Chain. I would think that would make it easier not having a center section and all. What standard short automotive shocks work? or have to go coilover route?

Sounds like a pretty intensive build..if you like that Yamaha platform why not just go on the hunt for a 225DX/DR?

They are shaft drive and rear suspended..

Because I paid $100 for this one and it runs, drives, no cracked plastic and really all it needs is brakes and a little carb adjustment. It may not be doable/ reasonable but I was just curious. I only use it for hunting mainly.

it has been done there is a build on here showing a modded chain drive frame for rear suspension, and I used a dr frame with my 200 and a honda trx rear swing to make mine a rear suspended 200 here are a pic of mine for you.181070
