Good point on the tires. I hate to accuse anyone, but maybe they're stolen and he cut the vin off.

I think you pegged it^^^ there is no other reason to cut the steering neck off of 85's

There is no reason for honda to do it. If they are stolen maybe the CL ad should be reported. But again, don't wanna accuse anyone.

It sucks because I go to Fitchburg MA often to visit family, this guy is always posting parts for sale. I've thought about contacting him while I'm down there. But I won't go near it now, not even if I suspect he's running a chop shop.

I don't want to accuse anyone either, but it is fishy . I don't see why ANYONE would go through the trouble to cut the frames at the neck unless they were stolen, I just don't see any other reason and I would stay away from that listing. If they are the 200S has 2 stickers, one on the pull start and one on the rear axle, dead give away if someone is looking for it.

If there is anything more like this from him and its fishy i would report it. Or maybe a member with a missing 250r and 200s living in that area or close will see it.

The R isn't cut at the neck, it is cut WAY far back. IDK what to think!

he wants $500 for the 200s motor and $200 for the plastics. swears that they've never been used. EVER. i'm going to try to go take a look. is there another vin on the 200s? where are the vins on the 250r?

Hell, just look at the rear brake lever on the R. Not to mention the k&n filter in the airbox.

Take a 10 with you Redsox,pop the chain cover off the S and ask him how all that dirt,grime and seeds got in there ?? Only other #'s are carb. I saw that K&N 1st thing Bryan. If the S stuff is worth $700+,The R stuff has gotta be worth $2000. What a seller :)

But his stuff is going fast... Some of the new barely ridden 250R stuff would be useful to me but not worth dealing with a seller that can't keep to a story and for the asking price of the 200smotor there are new ones on ebay I would spend a little more for

I saw this add a week ago and was interested in the 200 motor and the first thing I looked for is the head gasket leak. Its not bad, just a little grime but that takes a bit of riding. Honda didn't have to go around chopping used machines...

I have a guy in the area that would drive to mass and maine and look for 3 wheelers out in the front yard for sale and then go there at night and steal them. I don't know what his status is now but some people that have been to his house says he has tons of them. I keep my wheelers hiddin and don't let many people know I have these just because I fear this guy will steal them. Thats when the 30-06 will take over...

That guy is like 40 mins from me
He has tons of bikes all cut up for parts. Ive called a few times for stuff, but hes looking for ebay prices on everything, maybe even more...so ive never actually gone there and bought anything.

I would REALLY love it if someone would pay him a visit and verify if the VIN #'s are on the steering heads. I have a bad feeling about this,and I really do not like thieves :) In the pic, the S forks are off the head,,why chop up ALL of these useful frames??? If this is a theft ring. I would be honored to be paying for this guys 3 squares and cable.

update - the guy is a bit elusive. he agreed to meet, but its gotta be during the week during work hours. i can't get an address out of him. i'm betting he's gonna be a "i'll meet you half way" guy. if thats the case, and he wants to meet away from home, then they're 1000% hot. jeff, have you ever met with him? do you have a phone number? just curious. as far as the dirt and stuff inside the chain guard, it doesn't really matter. his story is BS. they've been ridden, no doubt! but BS might not mean stolen. i'll try and meet with him this week, see what we can find out.
