1981 ATC 185 Fork Extensions?

I just picked up a barn find 1981 Honda ATC 185. The guy said it had some fork extensions on the front that push the front tire out a little farther? They aren't stock to the bike. Ill try and get some pictures posted of them.

Anyone know anything about them and why they are on there? Also, are they worth anything? I think I will be parting the bike out. Motor is stuck and clutch is froze. Any interest?

There is a nos set on eBay for 40. They give the trike better handling and put more weight out front to keep the front end down.
