New Ride!!!! Yea!!!!

Well screw Honda!...They have delayed the release of the 450r yet again!
That on top of not being able to get more money out of my DS...I said the hell with it! So I took the money that I was going to buy the 450r (kept the DS) with and bought a Cannondale. I've always wanted one ever since somebody from this board turned me on to them. ATK has purchased the motorsports division of Cannondale, Sop parts are not a problem and they have put out fixes for all the "known" problems. So this bike is an 03' that was only ridden a weekend at Hatfield something or other in WV and it has had all the updates done. I've only ridden it around a speedway parking lot. Can't wait till tomorrow to take it out!

I think your going to like that one, Bill. A couple of locals race MX with them. One is girl! The are pretty impressive quads, and the first to really be "race ready" before the Jap 450's.

I like the looks of the black ones,the red ones just don't do it for me.If it were mine I would change that pipe,it is to bulky looking back there.You need to get a little stubby one from TC racing,that would make the rear cleaner looking not to mention it would sound sweet.

3500.00... Not bad considering I was willing to pay almost six for the same exact bike no more than eight months ago!

I really like the bike but I'm afraid I got one that has a hard starting problem!...I've had to replace the plug once and clean it once :( Well they went out of business fro a reason...I'm sure I'll be able to work around it...it just sucks having to "F" with it trailprotrailpro I can ride.


As far as the bike goes...It's way fast but I've not had much time in the seat. I rode it once on the trails and it was way to muddy for my liking, so It was hard to evaluate it. I do know this!...I'm excited about the GO FAST FACTOR...This is clearly a bike that cannot be ridden full Throttle or full break! I will be taking it to the track next time I ride...I'll post then!

True!, but...I also would have spent 3000.00+ more dollars for the Jap racers. For another 1100-1300.00 dollars I can send the engine to ATK. They will punch it out to a 450 (from a 432) and do a "reliability" upgrade to the engine. That still puts me well under 5k for a out of the box 450 racer.
