vin help? Yamaha 225 dx

Well both of my ytm 225 dx's are from 1984 ( factory stickers still there near vin) well anyway the vins are only 9 digits on both trikes shouldn't they be 12 or more do I need too add ytm to the beginning of the 9 numbers to register this?( no title or bill of sale needed in nh to register ATVs)

No your 9 digit VIN is correct..they were built before the 17 digit standardized vehicle identification came into practice on all vehicles.

I have an old dodge pick up that has a small vin on it as well which worked great for me when I insured it as 4x4 cost more to insure and with the smaller vin it doesn't show up that way count the smaller older vins as a blessing in disguise
