The Illinois lottery Mega Millions is up to 636 million tonight , if I actually won I would bring back some of the discontuined parts , wouldn't be nice to have OEM plastics and OHTSU tires made again for your favorite ATC's? Money talks and I would do some good with it but it probabaly would cost a pretty penny to get them made again :naughty:

If I won the lottery I would pay people to do rediculouse things, repop oem fenders (awesome idea I stole it from honda 200x1987) restore EVERY atc I come across, attend trikefest 2014, burning man. Always wanted to have a demo Dirby with brand new vehicles and so much more that I can't think of right now. Oh dont forget donate to charities

As someone once said: You think you've got problems now? Imagin if you win the lottery! Still, I'd like to see what it's like one day

Experts say to first tell no one or you'll have to move. (x2 w/ elcam)
File a corporation and remain anonymous.
There are actually support groups and tv shows about lottery winners.
Lots wind up more broke and worse before they won.

I'd like a JayLeno type garage, staffed and stocked, maybe an antique steam engine to power it all, or water wheel with belt drive stuff. A long driveway and catered lunches and a few guest houses for visitors.

I would buy as much land as I could. Move my family there and live as independently off the land as I can.

If I win the lottery, I would build a house, a garage, fill the garage with cool car, buy a nice diesel pick-up, build a Massey Ferguson pulling tractor and build a Tri-Z CR500, buy a lot of 3 wheelers, make a living room in an other garage.

With that much money I would give a lot away to friends after taking care of my family and personal homies. Some people I have met and became good friends with on the net, would even benefit from it.

We even heard about that winfall up here, that's just nuts! Apparently the prize hasn't been claimed in a while and keeps building? I still don't know why they don't get to a point and award 636 1 million dollar prizes. Some lotteries up here have started that mind set, one big prize and 'x' amount of 1 million ones. Make way more people happy. A stand up fellow in Calgary won 40 million recently and is giving it all away to charity. He didn't even tell anyone he won it. The lottery corporation showed him the fine print requiring him to have a picture taken with a cheque, he wore a ball cap and sun glasses, lol.

It'll probably be some old fart that wins it. Lol. Not to long ago an 81 year old woman won the lotto in michigan, I don't remember the amount but it's way more than an 81 year old could have fun with.

If I won, the first thing I'd do is tell the boss to shove this job. Then I'd buy my idiot neighbors house and bulldoze it over and build a huge pole barn for all the trikes that I would buy.

One thing is for sure, we'd all find out real fast who our REAL friends are and I think most of us would be disappointed.

If I would win I would invest the monthly instalments into my ROTH IRA. I would keep my job not buy any new cars or anything and live normal.

Why because I will never be in a bind for money at a later date when Ya'll will have pissed it all way.

only the smart million or billion live normal. :)

Maximum amount in a ROTH per year is $5,000. Better find some more avenues to invest in.

Roth IRA 2014 is $5500 max if you make less than a certain amount. It's in the 100k+/- range.

This is new to me. Its a good thing for sure. I think in 2007 was when it went from $4,000 to $5,000. When you say the 100K range, do you mean less than that or over to be able to add the extra $500?
I will have to call my Gal and find out whats up.

it's $5,500 a year. Has nothing to do with the amount you made. In my 401K I take off 9% a year plus what my company my company matches...I will increase that to 12% in Jan so I am getting like 15% total. I stuff money other places too. Done buying toys, times to say now, I'm 30 and they told me if I keep doing what I am doing I will be a millionare by the time I am 60....lets see if thats true :)

So if I win lotterary I am investing it all like I said. I can make 20% return per year plus the winnings...yeah man! I'd still buy used clothing off ebay :)

Oldskhool:

This is what I used as a reference. I have the same goal as you.

How To Become A Millionaire By 65
That’s right, follow the simple plan outlined by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and you will be a millionaire by the age of 65 starting with $0 right now… guaranteed or your money back!
You’re 25 Now
Save $286 a month and you’ll be a millionaire by 65. Contribute to your 401k to get your company match, put 100% into stocks, pay down high interest debt like credit cards, and set up an emergency fund equal to six to twelve months of your expenses.
You’re 35 Now
Save $671 a month, or $304 if you already have $50k banked. Look to save 15% of your salary including your employer match in a 401(k), shift your assets to 90% stocks and 10% bonds, then start contributing to a 529 plan if you have kids (or plan to have kids).
You’re 45 Now
If you’re starting some scratch, you need to put away $1,698 a month. If you started with $50k then it’s only $1,298 a month. Happen to have $100k lying around? Then you only need $861 a month to reach a million. At this point you should be 20% bonds, 80% stocks and trying to maximize your 401(k) contributions. Remember retirement and don’t put your children’s college costs ahead of it.
You’re 55 Now
Ten years until your 65, so you’ll need to save $5,466 per month to reach a million. If you have $100k saved away, you’re down to $4,253 a month. Gotten up to $200k? Good job, that’ll be $3,040 a month. At this point you should be taking advantage of the $5,000 catch-up contribution bonus to your 401(k), shifting your allocation to 70% stocks and 30% bonds, and thinking about working a little longer if you’re short.
There you go! The path to millionaire status is clear, courtesy of Kiplingers.

HA! A house is one of those questionable things IMO. It's a lot of overhead, but if you like to just come and go "RENT"!. I like to work in my garage.
Eitherway you can save $$$ renting or owning if you stay consitant for a looooooong time..

I bought a place if I move out I can rent it out easy and make good profit. I'm got a meeting with my finace guy in jan to set up automatic deductions from my paycheck so I do not got to write him a check anymore once a year. Want money to grow every 2 weeks not every year lump sum.

I like checking my account and it always goes up, some places if you reach milestones they will safe gaurd you cash for a small fee per year like 1.35% which is nothing to insure you pile of nuts never go down.

Basicly I am selling off everything I got toy related but my 200x and my hemi. Done with it all. Time to make the bank in the bank grow even more.

It is my guess that you never pay enough on your principal.

I paid 187K years for a NEW HOME and still owe 140K which is now worth 250K-275K because were all brainwashed to feel the economy is good. The "She" is gone now.

You need to own a home at least HALF the time since you borrowed back in the days of hell. Thats about a 6% rate. If I had a real job, I could have got 3% for 15 years but you need a long term job, Banks are afraid.

If your work history is good, get a 15yr loan. LOCKED in a good rate...............
