ok so I have an 85 350x I was going to sell, but I decided to keep it. When I first start it up(cold start) it wont idle without giving throttle. even If choke is on. it runs great after its warmed up and rode, but it wont idle, it will just die. Any suggestions? thanks

Filter clog or dirty maybe? Bad fuel? I suggest starting with the basics first before getting into the carb. You can make carb adjustments and rebuild it if needed, but that's for later. Pull out your service manual...:)

fuel is fine, been doing this since I put new rings in it in may. I have the title, but no service manual. I don't really know where to start. it has a clean UNI air filter.

Here's your service manual plus others...print a copy this should help.

There is an adjustment on the carb for the pilot needle at the bottom. Flat head screw. I think the manual calls for 3.5 turns out from shut or all the way in. If that doesn't work, then you may need to rebuild the carb. Kits are cheap, like $20.

I really appreciate it, if that doesn't work I will let you know.
