What do you guys think it's worth?

I would like a 85-86 250r but I would settle for this, performance atc's like the 250r and 350x are hard to Come buy around in western Canada, when they do come up for sale they are usually double the price of. what you Guys would pay down there. It's about 6 hours away in the town my fiancé's mom lives in so I could justify driving that far.

Anything to look for when I view it in person?

I'm not sure what to offer him and would appreciate any opinions and advice. Thank you in advance

I"m not sure what to offer him but if you buy it you better be ready to spend at least a 1000$ probably more to get it right .

You just never no, does it need a new crank? are the seals bad ? Is the cylinder trashed? Does the motor need replaced? I personally wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole unless I had somebody like that guy kasey on here or someone else with extensive experience fabricating these things to tell me if the thing is going to work after I fixed the motor.

is it me or does it have 2nd gen fender seat and 2 nd gen swingarm and maybe the frame has been chopped up in the front

Frame has been chopped for the newer engine plus the engine doesn't run. IMO its a chopped up paper weight. That being said, I would offer 500 cash.

I just offered 500$ I will post the outcome tomorow, it would give me a good winter project. I'm assuming that the engine Was rebuilt and ran to lean ? Hopefully it's just the top end. Either way I like how it looks and used cr 250's seem to be Relatively cheap.

It's listed as an '83. The motor at least looks like an 86 and the plastics look like a combo of 2nd and 3rd gen. Why some one would go through that kind of trouble is beyond me. A grand no- $500 yes.
