gday guys and merry Christmas from oz.

I recently got my hands on a KLT250 that has had the wires cut, I mean totally cut off with no plugs left at all. I was given a handful of electrical parts and a wiring harness that doesn't belong to the bike, I am chasing a wiring diagram that I can read, the only one I have seen is just too small to make out the writing. after I get the wiring done then I get to see if this bike was running and whoever the genius was that cut the wiring thought he had an electrical problem. I really would like to find someone else with one that may be able to take photo's of the cdi unit as well. the one I was given is a 6 plug and I believe these are a 5 plug. anyway all, stay warm and i'll try to stay cool.

Merry Christmas to you in OZ as well! Congrats on the new old trike. lol Maybe you can find the manual here if you havent tried the site already... http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

Some times the stuff people do with their trikes, bikes, cars, homes.... just makes you wonder how they made it to their present age! lol I know because both the homes I have owned so far could have been owned by the same guy. Installing sinks with no traps, fixing broken, rotted, termite eaten floor joists by screwing a 2x4 on each side like a splint (i was surprised they didnt wrap it in Gauze too!) piling up concrete blocks under the main beams in the house to hold it up because it was cracked in half THEN adding a second floor to the house!!! lol (Seriously...its true!)
Good luck with the electricle issues... hopefully someone here can help you out.
