So I have a ytm 225 dx shaft I think I have the engine number which is 29u-068146 and it runs but it slips but I have a ytm 200 chain parts bike will the clutch work to put in my 225?

Please help

I'm guessing yes, but check the part #'s against each other to be sure

One of your clutches is adjustable, check that too.

Thanks man this is my first tri moto swap so I jus have a lot of questions
And I'm not sure of the year of it rither

There is TONS of info on here, use the search feature.

When I am working on older bikes I search the part fiches and cross reference the part numbers. You'll find that Yamaha will list say a part from 1983 as discontinued, but the same part number was used on an 86 model and they still sell them. Keep looking for info and if you get stuck someone here will help you. Welcome to the club!

Do I need to know the year of the trikes also to match them up or no? Because like I said I have a parts bike that has both the centrifugal clutch and the clutc basket assembly that I could use or should I build them both up

If you post some photos of your trike on here someone will tell you what year it is. Photobucket is the best way (larger images0 but anything will help.

Ok awesome I'll do that here in a bit. And also I get white smoke out my exhaust I'm thinking it's rings any opinions

Is the white smoke I'm getting from my exhaust due to bad rings?
