Hi all..Im new to this great site but not motorized toys...I restore and race vintage MX bikes and also ride modern MX bikes...but have been hooked on these ATCs since they were invented and have always had one type or another..70s,90s,110s,185s,200x,350x and 250r,s..but just found one of the coolest I have seen since going to Pismo Beach in the 70s....

1978 ATC90 (from original owner)
Pauter +2 frame (I think)
Bapp intake manifold
24-26mm Mikuni
Custom oil cooler
Helm & Sons stroker crank
Big bore top end..(140cc total)
Helm & Sons cam
Unknown pipe (Bassani?)
Rutt Ryder front end assy (ITS 183721183720183719183718183717183716FOR SALE)
2-piece alloy wheels..8x8 front & 8x10 rear
Carlisle Chevrons all around
K&N chrome bars
Twist throttle
Fully custom painted and pinstriped (from the day)
I will try and attach some pics and let me know if Im right on the brands
I will be doing a resto job but leaving all the patina and character it has..just basically disassemble, clean, polish, replace all bearings, seals, hoses, replace fluids, carb rebuild ect
but retain all the character from the 70s,hopefully you can follow along and thanks for having me on this great site..AHRMA73J

Welcome! I love the "knock offs" on the rear wheels. Too cool!

You Cali/Az guys have the best pickings from scrapyards to private owners. The condition of most of everything seem to never be beyond restoration. We'll maybe if it's missing too many parts. Welcome just curious about the rabbit decal....was it a logo or common sticker? Gotta look for that as for some reason caught my eye...not that I want one, just has familiar look.

The rabbit is actually hand painted as is all the pinstriping...must have had a meaning to the previous owner...the tank will only get a light cut with fine compound and then a heavy coat of wax,as will all the paited surfaces...no heavy resto for this time capsule machine,Thanks

Welcome neat piece of ATC history. Why would you not want to leave the original front forks on the bike? Just courious.

Im more of a hardtail guy....we we played with these at Glamis and Pismo when they were new we never saw these type of front end,I know they were built with them but looking for some chromies with the dual position wheel mounts, plus I like the clean, simple, clutter free look of the stockers,if they don't sell they will be left on for sure!...cleaning the carb and setting the points tonight,I always like to have them runners before disassembly.....I will show progress as I go..already have a cool idea for the seat, the rest just gets cleaned and detailed!

look closely at that rabbit sticker, it is a old school bugs bunny sticker my friend, I can tell by the gloves on his hands.

Welcome. When your trial time is up make sure to post up some of your vintage mx bikes in the two wheeler section. I love to see the vintage mx and trial bikes saved and put to good use.
