how are the trails and riding up there?

Depends where you are... In ontario they are pretty rugged and a good mix of everything. Further north things get rocky and swampy.
As you head out west, things are flatter for the most part.
In ontario, there are alot of trails, but you can only ride the ones that are on crown land and if maintained by a club, you need a trail pass... Fees vary. Trails marked for snow machines usually say no atvs. It can be up to $5000 fine if you are caught on those trails.
The Mattawa area has a huge trail system that uses the provincial parks' roads to make it that much bigger.

So yea, lots of good ridding...

If you are in washington, central British Columbia is bigtime sled country, look up Revelstoke BC. Lots of the sled trails are ATV trails in the summer.

Northern saskatchewan is a pretty fun place too, with lots of old train tracks and logging trails.
