Bike bandit has them for 50-60$$ and all I need is the plastic spool that the rope wraps around does anyone have a spare one for cheap? Or know of a place?

Best bet is to snag a rusty one off eBay that the plastic is good in if you want to go cheap. Otherwise www.dratv.com has the part for $34.99

it won't hurt to get the complete unit, that way you'll have spare parts for later

Funny that my local independent Honda shop parts guy
had never seen a plastic pulley spool. Mine is warped and cracked too.

I have replaced plastic ones with metal and vice versa... I forget exactly which ones were stock with plastic or metal. I think it was the earlier years all metal then 83 and later plastic. But i have seen plastic on earlier years, although it was probably someone swapping parts and repairing, etc.
