I bought a Honda 250 Atc in october for 50 dollars... reconnected the recoil spring and bought tubes for the tires and have been riding it ever since...... but now the sprockets are stripped and the chain wont adjust any tighter..... im not sure which model ATC this is.... I called up a Honda store they toldx me it was an '84 250R.... but ive been looking around and all the 250R's have clutches and are 2 stroke.... this trike is a 4 stroke automatic clutch with no rear suspension... unlike the 250r's i have been looking at it is also a pull start and has no reverse... was wondering ifv this is a 250r and if it isnt if any one could tell me what it is... it has no stickers and no title can u guys please help :D

im pretty sure its a 250 engine because it will beat my friends stock '03 blaster till he shifts to 6th gear but my trike only has 5 gears so i cant keep up

is it chain drive or shaft drive being it doesnt have reverse i am still voting on 200s because it would take a 200s or more to keep up with a blaster you should be able to find some ware on the engine ware it tells you the cc of the engine on it around the base of the cyclinder.

it is most likely the 250 big red..... there is no way you would be able to pull start a 250R....

250 big reds don't have a pull starter either (I don't think anyways) just a kicker and e-start. My guess is a 200s as well. Front suspension, pull up on the shifter to downshift?

some didnt have reverse but im pretty sure all had electric start the Vin is : JH3TBO638EC37500
and to shift u press down on the shifter....

Check the specs page on http://www.3wheelerworld.com to decode the VIN. It sure sounds like a hardtailed 200 class machine.

It looks like a Honda 200s trike to me. Pullsstart, auto clutch, and the big rear fender set.. 200s.. I bet those plastics are bolted on?

Correct. They are shaft drive too. Might be an older 82 or 83 big red. (chain 200cc)

EDIT: oops, didn't see second page of pics. Yeah, kinda looks like a 185s or maybe a 200 to me. Definatly not a 250 anything.

Very nice bike. Just like my nephew (Extaftian2)'s . Those things have a fair amount of speed to them. The nephews trike can out run my 250 BigRed.. And he doesn't have any problems handleing the thing either.

You should "pm" him and chat about your trike.. Again his screen name is extaftian2..

Here is a picture of his trike after we went riding in the mud.

Not to shabby considering this trike only cost me $50.00

yea i payed 50 bux for mine too andf then spent 20 on new tubes for the back tires.... i need all new tires... there is a screw jammed in my front tire and when it leaks air i just take a phillips screw driver and screw it in more..... :)
