Alright fellas,

My buddy just got a smoking deal on a 1986 honda 250sx. He traded 3 cords of fire wood for this nearly mint, bone stock machine. Good thing we live in a highly wooded area.... Best part is that the atc came with the title, original owners manual, service manual, original tool kit, ect. The thing that threw me for a loop is the gas tank. It's a white plastic tank with a FANCY lettered honda 250sx decal. I've looked everywhere and can not find this decal online. Is it possibly one of a kind? I know that the 1986 250sx's still came with metal gas tanks, but as far as the old owner knew, the tank on the bike was never replaced. I've attached a pic of the tank....Please help!!

Thanks guys.

I am restoring my 350x and needed decals and went to discounteddecals.com they treated me right. They may not have what you need but you could send them the pic and see if they will make it.

I looks like a Clarke tank, and OE tanks were always metal, so I would guess that somebody changed it out to the plastic tank, as well as adding the new decals.
Hey anymore pics you could share? :naughty:

Fabio made a thread a while back about perforating the decals to allow them to "breath", last I read he said they were holding up fine. I will try and find the thread.
Found it. It was also on a 250sx- http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/147784-250SX-tank-decals?highlight=perforating
