yamaha 175 tri moto akle carrier, aluminum or steel ?

can somebody please tell me if the axle carrier is aluminum or steel ?
I am having the hardest time getting the bearing carriers out of the axle housing and wanted to know what the axle carrier is made out of before i start heating it up.

Put a magnet on it. If it sticks it's steel, of not it's aluminum.
