I wanted to shoot off of something dry. Shooting at the pistol range. Rl Morris custom .41 pistol. (Same guy who made the set of bench guns that I have shown here before)

It is also good for my 'woods walk' where I have clay pigeons set up at many sites to shoot at variable distances and around various natural obstructions. Argo was great for getting around, going across the frozen swamp instead of around today

Dude, that looks AWESOME!!! That Argo looks like it could go anywhere. It floats too, right?

Snow shooting is definitely fun...until you drop an important little piece in the white stuff lol. I went out in the snow this week with a few of my Mosin-Nagant buddies and re-enacted the battle of Stalingrad...shoulda grabbed some pics...definitely next time.

Gun is a 41, serial #2 so I guess there is at least 1 more out there. Bob Morris per the stories never built for others except this set. Dunno if it is true

These are the rifles

One of the 4 rifles, not field guns at 30-45 lbs depending on caliber and setup

Awesome setup. I just looked through your old post and all the pics are gone. What is that canon with the scope on it? Also, I'm looking into getting a larger caliber rifle, what do you like more the 338 or the 50 bmg? I've never shot either of them but it seems to me the 50 would be the way to go, I've found cheaper ammo for the 50. I just want one for a "my gun is bigger than your gun" reason. Lol

That is one of the small ones. .485 caliber, 650grain slug. The big boy is a .69 that shoots a 1750 gr slug (1/4 lb) with 350 gr of holy black. (These are blackpowder guns). That one weighs 80+ lbs.

50 or 338? I enjoy both. My 338 is a Barrett 98b, the 50 is a custom McMillan. Both have their place. I reload for both. 50 is a bit cheaper to feed for off the shelf stuff. About equal for me in reloads as mine shoots solid bore rider projectiles

Atc, glad u like them, as my wife just rolls her eyes

Don't forget u have to pick it up and reload then replace after every shot
(A Morris for representation of loading, light at 45lbs)

Very cool stuff there!!

The 338 you refer to...is that a Lapua?? I am guessing so since you state that the factory ammo is a tad more expensive than 50bmg. ;)

Always wanted a McMillan 50bmg...

But my realistic "next gun" on my list is a pinned and recessed S&W m57 with a 4"bbl. That is chambered 41 Mag. I have no idea why, but I am just plain enamored with getting a 41 mag in my safe. I have 357's, 44's and a 460. I guess it's just a case of "filling in the blank"! LOL!

;) will check and see I think I have family coming up, sometime around valentines

338 is a lapua, yes(necked down 416 rigby if memory serves)

The 41 is an interest of mine too. I will probably go the SA, freedom arms route
