Well, Everytime i go to my buddies atv shop there is this guy there who cuts on 3 wheelers and tells me hes going to convert me. I went there today and he wanted me to take his tricked out YFZ 450 for a ride. HOLY S**T that thing was fast.

I then rode a KFX 400 and it was a very comfortable ride but no where near as fast. Tell you the truth, if i had my choice over my 200x i would take the kfx, I loved how it handled compared to my trike. How much different is a 400ex to the kfx in handling???

I started on quads a warriior(ok ,handled like a truck), them 86 trx 250r, that bike was awesome. I got to admit sometimes I miss riding it. I am currently looking a 2 frames and enough parts to rebuild it, If had a motor(not taking the one out of the trike) I might put it together and put it in storage so when I want to ride it its together. mainly I got the trike after a weekend of riding my friends 86 200x(I own it now) I knew I had to get one. People say I'm nuts on the trike(not too many can keep up with me), I tell them watch me on a quad. I like the crazy looks I get on the trike, especailly when I smoke em. my current ride is a 85 250r, nowhere near stock.

I am a Honda guy, but I think you better go ride both machines before you voice your opinion. 400ex is nice but the (z,kfx) are better handling in my opinion(i feel like a traitor now).

About 5 years worth of difference.
I cant see how anyone who is not blinded by Honda bias could ride both and with honesty, not pic the KFX/Z400 as better handler.

One big difference in stock machines is that the stock suspension is a lot stiffer on the 400EX. For me, at 175 lbs, the Z400 was perfect, while the 400EX was way too stiff. If you weigh 225 youd likely have a different view on the suspension. Any by suspension, I specifically mean the springs on the shocks.

The z400's are only upgraded versions of the 400ex, and are almost identical, chassis/handling wise, (almost).
