Hey everyone, I have a 85 Yamaha trike with a vin # JY321VOO4fO164140
Pull start, no battery, chain drive.

I need to find out what model I have?
And what engine?

By searching I have found the 10th letter is the year which would make it a 85. The 21V means chain drive.

Where on the engine would I find the engine code?

I have tried looking up the vin using the VIN and serial # decoding tool but it says it is not available.

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the correct direction.

Thanks,
Jeff

This is from the Manual for my YTM 225 DXN... looks like you may have the YTM 200N not sure of the year though.

MODEL ENGINE NUMBERS
YTM200K 21V-000101-100100
YTM200L 21V-100101-160100
YTM200N 21V-160101-on
YTM200EK 24W-000101-100100
YTM200EL 24W-100101-on

on my 225 DXN the engine code is on a flat part on the engine block just about under the carb. its stamped into the block.
if yours is anything like mine, the last 6 digits should match the last 6 digits of your Serial number, for example it should look like: 21v-164140 Hope this helps
