My first queston is about 110's So in my heard of 110s I have an 85 that for some reason shifts 4up instead of the normal 4down. Did Honda do this intentionally at some point in time or has my trans been messed with at some point?
My second question is about 90's. I'm building a big bore, stroker 90 with a helm and son 61mm crank, s90 trans and manual clutch, s90 cam, exc. my question is when you build a stroker motor witg a cyl spacer what do you do for a longer cam chain? Is their some other bikes cam chain that works? Thanks for your help!

Your up shift tranny is correct for the year .
Your stroker will need a 6 mm spacer and a 88 link Atc 110 timing chain .
You do know the cdi motor isn't compatible with a points style stroker .
If you need performance parts Lmk .

Yes I know CDI and points parts Dont mix. Would a up shifting drum work on my 90 with a s90 trans project?

Never tried it , sorry , best to just use the points model atc gears on a 1969-70 sl90 output shaft , that's the old school set up that works and it gives you the correct gear ratio .

I understand. Now is the 54mm big bore piston kit for a 90 (14mm pin) that's always on eBay a good match for my stroker crank with a 6mm spacer plate?

All depends if your stroker crank has a 14mm pin . Most 61mm strokers are 15mm pins .
got a link to the piston kit ?

Well I guess that pic worked. Its my crank. It is a 14mm pin. And this is the joker frame before I got the rear and front on to make it a roller

Nice! You don't see many 61mm 90 cranks floating around.
What kind of pipe is that?
Thanks for the pic's.

vincer, nice project to start!
Did you just recently purchase the stroker crank off ebay, if not someone got a good buy.
Keep posting updates and pic's with your project as you progress, love to see all the old mod's from back in the day.

Yes just got it off ebay a few weeks ago.Ive done a few top ends/ big bores on 90-110's before, and split cases on them for trans work, but this will be my first attempt at a stroker build. I've been wanting to build a big bore stroker 90 for a long time and when I saw the crank on eBay decided nows the time. Haha

And Joseph Farrow, no I Dont know what pipe that is. It was on a clean 110 that got a stock pipe back on it. Not sure if I'm going to use it or not yet as the muffler is really long. It does seem well built though.

That's a std compression piston and if you want the true potential of your stroker you need a high compression piston .
I have a couple in stock if your needing one ? Send me a pm with an email addy or phone number and ill send a few pictures .
Also what ever piston you go with it will need the piston skirt trimmed for crank clearance . Do you have your oil pump shaft turned down yet as well to clear the rod ?

I'm not sure how to pm you in my phone here but I do need a piston still. I know it will need trimmed for clearance. I have not had a chance to turn the pump shaft down yet. I'm going to do the machining at work and were kinda busy at the moment. (I'm a machinist, bored a lot of my own cylinders on other projects) and because I'm still trying to collect parts first.

Mike's got what you really need for that 61mm stroker. Wouldn't be cheap but it would be Bad trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. Put you a little over 178cc's.

I didn't want to scare him with a 61mm big bore lol .
I have a few 54 or 55 mm popups I'll offer him .

I got your pm Vincent , I'll send pictures later today .

Shortline, I got the parts in the mail yesterday thank you! Looks like they will work great! My only real current question is about the shortened shifter shaft. I have the ATC shaft shortened to fit the s90 side cover and want to know if your supposed to weld the arm to the shaft. Looking at the s90 shifter its solid and doesn't have as much play in it. I'm assuming the sprung loaded play in the ATC shaft is to make the auto clutch disengage before it shifts but does it still need to do that for a manual clutch?
