Honda speedometer cable alternatives

So I have a Oem speedometer for a Honda 250sx but no cable. Is there a aftermarket cable or a cable from something else that will fit? Like a 81-82 XR 250?

The cable for the 250sx is 30" long. Most any Honda speedo cable will work or Motion Pro can make you one any length. You will need the gearbox also. That is a bike specific part because of the front axle diameter and wheel/tire size.

Did this very thing last year for my 'Back in Black' 250ES project and found this cable fit the Hondaline speedo kit exactly..

Assuming the speedo drive is still in place and the head is good you're golden!
