View Full Version : Recoil plate gasket?

I did a search, but can't find a solution. I pulled off the recoil starter case on my '83 ATC 200 and it has a metal plate gasket that has deteriorated rubber on both sides of this gasket. Anyone replace this gasket? I see some on eBay, but they look like they are just a rubber gasket and mine is as I mentioned, rubber coated on both sides of the metal gasket. Anyone replaced this part with just the rubber gasket?
I'm not sure how to continue on this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Damon...could you post up a pic? Not sure exactly which gasket you're talking about.

Same as a 185 but there are 2 other seals in there also. See parts fiche below.

If your not using the compression release anymore just buy the early version of the thick paper gasket and do away with the metal one . here is one CHEAP !
