So,i have been helping a buddy getting his sons 200s running that has been sitting in corner of garage for 2 years with blown headgasket. We have replaced head gaskets,rings(piston and cyl walls looked new).when put back together she gets weak spark and will not run.
things weve checked
all wiring is good,solid grounds and all hooked up right where should be.
checked ignition coil by installing one off a go cart(same type),no change
tried several new plugs(no diference),verified plugs great spark in snowblower.
temporarily installed a stator and coils from spare motor,no change
checked and verified timing is correct 5 or more times.
set valves per manual,also replaced guide seals and checked valves seating was good.
checked and set pulser coil air gap.
only thing left to do is start throwing new parts at it,im thinking its the cdi box or pulser coil.
Anybody got some spares they want to sell cheap?found a full harness with coil,cdi box,kill switch for 59.00.
I have a service manual but cant figure out how to check cdi box or pulser coil to verify good or bad.
