'84 200ES Big Red - $125.00

I'm on the road for work in my work car (Chevy Malibu, has trailer hitch) and came across this guy with a big red painted an ugly green camo in his yard. He wants $125 and says he has all the removed parts, but has very low compression in the motor. Looks like seats are ok, good racks, tires holding air.. etc

Home is 175 miles away so not sure if its worth driving my truck 350 mile trip, all day, for this.. I called local Uhaul to rent small utility trailer for $80 (worth it to me) but they don't have any available. Wont fit in a small covered trailer either.

I have a '84 200M right now that runs, but needs some things... like the exhaust and rear rack that are on this machine.. i think I would spend over $125 for these by themselves...

go to walmart. get a 4 pack of ratchet straps, some blankets and red shop towels

take the rear tires, rack and rear fender off and put in back seat. slide it rear end first into the trunk and strap it down to trunk arms. leave the front end hanging out in the air but put a red shop rag on it to keep you legal. use blankets where necessary to keep from doing any damage, mainly under engine cradle.

no $80 trailer and you have your bike. up to you to make sure you do no damage to the company car, but it is possible.
