Hi everyone!
I just purchased my second 'big' three wheeler last night! I got it for $350. I need some help identifying what exactly it is. I know that it's a 1984 because of the EPA exhaust sticker says "this 1984 Yamaha blah".
I have no idea if it's a Tri-Moto or Tri-Zinger or what?
Here's some pictures:

After reviewing my old thread about it (before I bought it), a member Chopsaw (http://www.3wheelerworld.com/member.php/38209-Chopsaw) posted a picture of his:

I'm fairly sure that they are the exact same bike. His comments in my old thread were: "I bought a 84 200e Yamahauler that was sitting in a barn for 250 with
original title . Cleaned it up , dialed it in and flipped it for 600 . I liked it , but Bigred was jealous .
Go look , and if you're not sure take pics and ask here . I'd like to see it ."

Also, what's the difference between the 84 200e and just an 84 200? Electric start? Could I use an 84 YTM200 transmission (read below)?

Other information on the purchase:
-no electric start (not sure if it ever had one)
-the key is the size of a lawn mower key, I'm pretty sure he makeshifted it
-the key stays on 'on' and if you turn it to 'light' it will shut off. It will not go turn to 'off'
-I'm not sure what the neutral on/off indicator did/does, but it doesn't seem to take affect or do anything
-the headlight and taillight are not hooked up/functional
-I'm not sure if it has a battery, I'm still trying to get the seat off .-.
-the rear footbrake cable is gone
-the transmission seems to be 'jerking' in first gear. It will grind and have a popping noise all throughout every gear. I know this is a huge issue, and I was unaware of it at the time of purchase. It was midnight out and I didn't get to drive it for more than a minute, kind of just took the guy's word.

Any help and information would be much obliged!

EDIT: Here's a video of the transmission http://videobam.com/XFNZy
and here's some more pictures of the trike

The seat is attached to the rear fenders. There is a lever by the grab bar that un hooks it all. Pull up on the fenders then slide back after pulling on the lever.

200e is electric start. Prob. Has reverse too.

A 200 is pull start, no reverse. I think.

1984 200E shaft drive , electric start no reverse . Turning the key to light , is just to work the light , bike wont run , or at least mine didn't .

Yes, it's an 84 200e if it has the neutral switch. Should also be a hardtail with shaft drive. Battery box would go on the left side of the frame (looking forward) under the rear fender against the frame.
Electric starter should be a big cylinder looking think under the exhaust port. They didn't get reverse until 85.
A key about the size of a lawnmower (tractor type) key is correct.

The "light" key position is to use the light with the vehicle off, it needs to be set to run to actually run.
There should be a headlight switch below the kill switch to use the headlight while running. (also where the start button should be)
Neutral light should come on when in neutral with the key set to run (and a charged battery). The e start is tied to the neutral switch and it won't work if that light is not coming on (unless you wire around it).

Tranny issue don't sound good. But I think I hit most of your questions...

you can use any 200 or 225 transmission, they are the same out of the ytm series. the key issue can be easily solved my guess is they replaced with one off of a banshee or a 225 at some time if you only have 2 positions, if you want send it to me and I can change it to a 3 position switch and send it back to you plus check and see if you have the right connection on it for your 200e just pay the shipping.

ok the tranny video doesn't work for me, but I can tell you that is not the right key for your trike. this is what you key ignition should look like. 189958189959

before tearing into transmission I would pull the rear end and drive shaft and check there first.

Yeah I've had a bunch of people tell me that on a Facebook page. I'll definitely check the rear end before tearing into the transmission.
