We seem to breed a special kind of low-life dirtbag in this town. I know terrible things happen all over but we seem to have an over abundance of these "D" bags. This story is really just a small cross section of the stupid crazy stuff that happens here… I could post these articles on and on…

This one is a little harder to stomach.

Interesting stories. While I do feel the guy who shot the dog 100 times should suffer the same I’m not sure about that cat. Seems it happened in a rural area. We don’t know if the cat was feral, if it was killing chickens, or if it was a male that had returned to kill its own offspring in an effort to put the mother back into heat. They don’t even mention a suspect (or did I miss something?), but they are talking about pressing charges. Sounds like it was a slow news day when that story came out.

Meanwhile where I grew up a 17 year old boy kidnapped and raped a 3 year old girl and then crushed her head with a brick. https://umanitoba.ca/cm/vol5/no11/shewasthree.html cost the tax payers millions and for all I know he’s free and back on the streets now.

I think I’d prefer to live in your town.

Feral cats usually don't last long around here, yeah it's pretty rural and we have plenty of coyotes, fox, hawks that love to eat little kitties. The cat story happened within about 500ft of where the dog was found and within a couple months of when the dog was found. I think they were trying to connect the two incidents.

These are really just scratching the surface and pretty tame considering some other crap
Around here.

I went to high school with this guy. Used to sit next to him in English class. He always had that crazy look in his eyes!

Well Stephen King did have a particular fondness for using towns in Maine in his novels, right? Maybe he agrees with you

I love how these low life's have multiple offenses against them and can always end up getting the major offenses plea bargained down to nothing. That what happens in my area with this crazy meth epidemic, manufacturing, possession and intent to deliver. these all add up to a 20 year felony and it seems like there is always a deal where these scumbags walk away with the bare minimum misdemeanor, and serve less than a year in county jail. Then guess what happens, right back out and doing it again.

so sad, all of it. Not to take away from the importance and meaning of the human lives taken, but that dog thing really burns my arse:mad::mad: I guess the older I get, the more protective of pets I become. I'd like to rip off about 100 bb's in that guys arss:mad: One every 10 minutes while I was drinking beer. People like that will have their day................

I agree! I believe there is a special place reserved in hell for animal abusers.

That's messed up. What's with the hotel room? Must have wanted to tell his buddies that he took a hot chick to a hotel. That dude needs to be put down.

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "choking the chicken"

We had someone here last year who was decapitating cats and leaving their heads in the middle of the street... I think it happened like two or three times and then once in another town they left one on a golf course... sickos!

Now that's messed up! I couldn't even imagine the dark place you would have to be in to even think about attempting something like that.

I don't know what about that story reminds me of this story but here it goes;

When I was real young, maybe 5?, about 25 years ago people still hung their laundry outside. Every once in a while somebody would leave their laundry out over night, only to find the woman's undergarment missing!
" The underpants thief strikes again!"
We're not talking silk stockings and thongs, we're talking size 3xl granny panties and YOUNG girl underpants . Anything.
Turned out to be a teenager that was a little "special"
