Hey, I have been reading posts and haven't found one yet that directly answers my question, so here goes.
I got a Yamaha 225DX from a buddy of mine. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but here's what I do know. After it was running using the pull starter, he decided to put on a battery and new starter. A broken bolt caused him to remove the cover and expose a broken spring in the centrifugal clutch which he also fixed. When he replaced it and put everything back together he noticed that it wouldn't start, although the starter is turning over and there is spark. Is there a way to seat that back in place that affects the timing? If so, the issue may be that it just needs to be pulled and put back correctly.
Thanks for any thoughts.
